Other than Preparation for a Job, What Is the Value of a College Education?

College education is one of the most important aspects in the life of a person. Not only does it allow you to prepare for and get a good job, but it also allows you to grow and develop as an individual. The years that you spend in college would go a long way in ensuring that you lead a happy and fulfilling life.

Personally I think that getting a college education would help me in interacting with people from diverse backgrounds. When talking with those who grew up in a different environment and had a chance to experience things I didn’t, I can get to know different outlooks on life and different aspirations that they have. Depending on what they say, I can evaluate my own views to see how they stack up against those of people and decide if I have to make any changes to the way I perceive the world around me. It will help me become a better individual in society.

The other side of the coin of a college education is that I would be able to have a lot of fun with all my mates. I would be able to forge lifelong relationships with the people that are studying with me in college. Getting together for a common cause would also teach me how to behave within a group. I would…
